Digital space provides yet another site/dimension in which one can build a persona beyond physical interactions.

What is a persona? A persona is the version of ourselves that we present to the world. It is constructed and customizable.

What is a shadow self? Essentially all of the bits of you that you choose to leave out of your persona.

The persona (or ego) and the shadow imply the existence of a "true" self.

What is the true self? If this version of self is "true," does this make the others (persona, shadow) untrue?

What happens when people spend more of their time cultivating a persona online than embodying their "true" self?
